You do though...and, with great respect, equating modern republicans with civil war era republicans, is a misstep. There are similarities, but a lot has changed since then. Equally, suggesting the parties have simply swapped places - as many on the left do - is also an error.

Yeah, if you grew up learning Oklahoma History. Keeping up with news from Indian Country you also learn that some of them just won a case against the Fed. to stop imposing upon them their slave’s descendants ability to register as a member of their tribe.
