Interesting. That's a mother admitting to liking their career more than being with their child. The problem is with the phrase "stay at home", it must make people feel trapped and unable to leave the house. In reality, it's "stay with the kid(s)".

Like I said women can convince themselves of almost anything. Create your own reality, where misdeeds are actually heroic actions that coincidentally always works to ones own favour. In her world everything always works out best for herself, image that.

Author mom may not actually sell many books if her daughter would be bored at home with her. However, if she does sell books, and her daughter...never learning mom's secret...is still having a blast all the way until University, at least mom can pay for it.

Mixed views on this. Childcare children tend to be more adjusted, confident and get a head start with education. All depends what the stay at home mother does all day I guess.....

What she is saying is her job and career are more important to her than her kid. She will be lonely in her old age because her kid will be just like her. Job and career will be more important than mom.
