While Abortion is a minor factor, it is almost non-existent statistically and it is actually generally minorities in those countries that most use abortion as a method of birth control. It is birth control that keeps population growth in check.

In this case some cultures are better than others and it's not our culture that comes out ahead on this issue.

There is to my knowledge no culture that worships abortion. Some cultures merely tolerate it. The number of people who actually use abortion are marginal. They play no role in the demography-game.

Or cultures rewarded for illegitimate births increase #s disproportionately to what they would if had to be responsible for their own children rather than depend on government

In UK, british born couples now tend to start a family later (if at all) while saving for a home - Meanwhile, "new arrivals" marry young (often arranged), don't hesitate to start a family, & are put at the front of the queue for a free home (bills/education/healthcare all paid)
