This is another problem with "No Fault" divorce. If the "At Fault" party was not given alimony, there would be a lot fewer divorces. Or to put it another way, if "Fault" wasn't proved to be the one paying, it should not be given.

If you've married a woman who makes her decisions to stay home with kids for reasons having nothing to do with the kids, and divorces you for alimony, then you might have a point. But most women aren't that malicious.

Might a man who cares how much money his wife gets if / when they divorce - explain the reason why they ended up getting divorced?

Alimony is not a great incentive to divorce. Alimony isn’t going to keep you in the lifestyle you’ve become accustomed to living.

The female plan 1. Marry a wealthy or hard working man. 2. Get pregnant his child or convince him it is his child so he chooses to be the father. 3. Divorce this man and require him to support her and the children. 4. Move in with another man that she actually wanted to be with.

I’m not a fan of alimony, but using it as “a great incentive to divorce”, speaks of nothing to a person (perhaps) cheating on their family & leaving them destitute, should the “bread winner” have an affair, move out-therefore also blaming the homemaker/kids for non satisfaction.

heres another with affirmative action no matter how many miles extra you go you get passed over for a girl or a minority whats the point in making an effort. also if you are secured a position by quotation why even try to do a good job.

the laws are outdated, from a time woman didn't work. They need to be modernized

Using the same logic of blaming the women for "dating violent guys", I guess we can just blame the men for marrying materialistic women who will divorce you for alimony.
