During the Viking era a married woman had a set of keys hanging on her skirt. That meant that she was in charge of the house and it was with pride they wore it. The duties performed to be in charge of a house today might have changed but the role is still the same.

Exactly, the men depended upon their wives home management skills to make sure not only the household was cared for but that there would be grain and enough food products for not only the winter bred, feed for the animals and grain left to sow next season.
-
Yes and in between they where raising the kids and protecting the house. I see a woman who choose to be at home the same way.

The beginning of wisdom is actually "the fear of the Lord" (Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 9:10). Nonetheless, "stay with kids mom" is a great term.

Thank you for raising this issue! My wife and I willingly chose “financial hardship” over more than a decade to raise our children in a home where the mother was present and available 24/7. BTW my children are constantly called out by both strangers and family for being “amazing”

You can immediately tell when a kid is raised in daycare. Raise kids at home

After a few years those kids go to school, so depending on the ages it may be a stay at home mom.
-
At that point it becomes a working part-time mom.
-
it’s never a part-time mom.

-
Nope, that stays. No regrets. Almost empty nester
. I was home a lot until they were middle school age. Lots of good times. -
I’m almost an empty nester, too. Not a fan. I love my children, but I like them, too. We have a good time together. Good kids are the best.

There are so many benefits to staying home with kids, besides the kids. I make a home. I run the finances. I make life as great as possible for everyone in my family and friends. And my husband and kids appreciate it.
