You assume very wrong. My dad was a gambling addict. We were actually better off financially after he died. Even if he had left us life insurance instead of debt, it only stretches so far.

So a widow is ok but a mother who is single through no fault of her own way is not ok??? My mother also was a single parent from 1962 onwards after my father and she divorced and she had to leave the family home because she was no longer in the military. I was three years old.
