I wish people would quit using the term nationalist when thry love their country. Patriot is a far better term in more ways than one.

Before WW2 it was common to use word 'chauvinism' (at least in Poland) to point out bad type of nationalism. Later on Soviets in their propaganda equalised nationalism with chauvinism.
