When women were stay-at-home mothers we shaped entire cultures and societies. This trope that women who choose to raise their own children are somehow dull is sinister.

@_Kenziepuff this is a super interesting point, counter intuitive to what I would think. Would love to hear your thoughts on how this is the case. -
Women were the caretakers while men worked to support the household. Women were typically in charge of children's education and emotional development as well as the households finances, and would give their men an allowance to live on.
-
Women worked very hard to build a strong family unit, and they were rewarded with a loyal, supporting family in their later years. But the State has convinced them that it's better to be taxable chattle and die alone with their cats, and thats somehow empowering.
-
Men and women are different, and that's okay. It's beautiful, even. The shared symbiosis is what created empires, and it worked well for ten thousand years. It's only been in the last hundred that people have tried to tear it down, and society is crumbling around us.
-
Masculinity and femininity were the ying and yang that held society together. I am completely unsurprised to see society decline in the wake of attacking both of those concepts.
-
Indeed. When looking at the Scandinavian countries, there is so much balance and contentment. I think its partially due to how well defininded the "yin and yang" is, no one is told that being themselves is a problem regardless of how masculine or feminine.

Also, women staying home with the kids are influencing and shaping the next generation.
-
Which is to say, the left DOES NOT want women to raise the next generation. They want to state to do it.

Ayn Rand is my guess.

Why does the left constantly assert that raising children is of lesser importance than going to a job for a check? Most jobs don't even come close to contributing as much to the world (or personal growth) as responsible child-rearing...

Amusing that Patrick and his ilk view motherhood/parenting as some powerless position, when in fact they have power over the future itself.

How does liking a woman preclude an archaic view on the fundamental role of women in society?
-
Why does something being old/“archaic” make it bad?
