Mothers are told to work in order to destabilize the family and make everyone miserable. Rarely any financial benefit to it. Also the State can’t tax motherhood. Working moms put kids into the hands of State-trained workers, who are also taxed. Govt wins, everyone else loses.

Hey Stefan, my wife stays home with the kids. No regrets, but thanks to Trudeau's "tax cut to the middle class" my middle class taxes went up a few thousand bucks in large part due to the loss of income splitting.

That’s not accidental. That’s to weaken the family unit by making it seem the answer is 2 working parents. The goal is to give the state control of the development of children—in daycare, by being subject to developmentally damaging childcare practices and socialist propaganda.

We had 3 boys all very close in age. My wife had a decent paying job at a major bank. We calculated that after daycare costs (including tax deductibility) she would’ve been working full-time with 2hrs of commute time daily for $400/month. We already weren’t keen on dc. We passed.

For those of you playing along at home, here’s the math: Using daycare to raise your 3 children in exchange for an avg pay middle-class FT wage will net you...including 8hrs work, 1hr lunch, 2hrs total commute...$1.68 for every hour you’ve delayed the work still waiting at home.

My feelings exactly. I was a stay-at-home mom for that then homeschooled all of them 3 I mean some families have 12 kids and they homeschool which is amazing. I take care of my young grandchildren for that reason also while parents work Not every day they're entering school age

Motherhood is taxed indirectly by working fathers needing higher income to provide for the family.

That’s simply untrue. My husband’s tax liability was lowered, not increased, without the second income. And we qualified for additional tax deductions offsetting the loss of the second income. #DoTheMath

The blanket claim that women working results in more to tax is only true if you're assuming wealth is also increasing. Not a bad assumption but should be explicitly mentioned.

Women Are Working when they are stay at home moms. The services of daycare, maid, nanny, chef would cost the man tens of thousands per year Effectively instead of her working and making 30-40k per year and paying tax. She provides as much or more value to the family but no tax

It lowers the total Income the family needs to support itself, thus the total tax paid.

What's your thoughts on stay at home father's vs mother's? I stay at home with our kids while the wife climbs the executive ladder . I struggled at first by not having the day to day competition men need but have found other ways to fulfill it with side projects.

If anything I see often where men become unhappy if they dont choose to pursue other ways to compete in the world or utilize their skills but typically do not see women becoming tyrannical and power hungry in the relationship leading to them leaving their husband
