Most women pay most of their after-tax earnings in child care expenses, second-car commuting costs and other work-related expenses. It’s a scam.https://twitter.com/rich_tax_evader/status/1075353077098655744 …

This is just a thinly veiled "women should not work". What do you mean "find a way"? There is no way to be at two places at the same time. If the mother stops working she will have no income and the impact on the child's well being will be far larger.

Then again, if a single mother (caused generally by a failure to appreciate the importance of sexuality and the marriage covenant) is forced by situation to work, she abdicates the role of mentor and caregiver to the State, which in turn produces a monster in its own image.

With good judgement, the only way to be a single mother is by becoming a widow. And there is life insurance for that.

And the CPI is just a device designed to distract from the fact that over half of your earnings are being pilfered by freeloaders.

No no no Stefan. The dad goes into debt to pay for those things so the wife can work. With “her” money from working she gets him out of debt and saves the family. She is the true hero and she makes sure he knows it’s her money saving the family.

Bingo. A college educated woman can literally school her children all the way until her final year of college which requires significant reading for their dissertation.

Depends whether they actually had attained a college level education while they earned that degree. A great many emerge from 4-6 years of college with a bachelor's degree and a high school education.

We are fortunate to have two sets of grandparents who can watch our kids so that we can both work. We've crunched the numbers and it's currently impossible for my wife to stay home - but that's the goal we are working towards!

I stayed home for eight years, giving birth to and caring for three children. My husband worked to support us during that time. When my youngest was three, I got a job, and my husband scaled back his employment a bit so that he could care for the children. Better than daycare!
