Parents put their babies in daycare to be “socialized,“ and then wonder why their teens are more bonded with their peers than their parents.

I think they put their babies in daycare to 1) free time up 2) socialize, not to “be socialized.”

And that’s why The West lost control of her culture as Socialists school teachers infiltrated every level of education.

I think that's true about preschool, but not so much daycare. Some parents would prefer to stay home- breaks my heart.

If people don't want to raise their children then they shouldn't have children. BTW, raising your child isn't leaving them all day then taking them to a fast food drive thru dinner, soccer, then home to bed!

I’m a homeschooler, and I have to interject & say, it’s a normal part of development that teens switch from caring what their parents think to what their peers think. The important thing is building a good open relationship before this happens.

BASED ON WHAT EVIDENCE??? You never have evidence for any of this shit you think! It’s all supposition and well you know it. Pet theories and strident nonsense. You’re a fraud.

Only ever have done it cause I need to to work. And in a way I feel even more bonded with my kids for it as they grew up understanding the complex web of sacrifices that I made. I also spared them self righteously claiming my way was clearly best without more evidence.

I was very close with my friends while growing up; my friends and I grew apart; my bond with my parents was never weak, and grew stronger until I got married. I went to daycare, also to a private “Jesus school” from K-12. Also I was “old school” punished by them, no resentment

Can’t tell you how many friends of my daughter have no relationships with their parents. They’re not going home for Christmas. We didn’t let our daughter bring a friend on a weekend/week trip for a long time because we wanted to spend time with her and her with us.

We are homeschooling now. Some worry about the "socialization" of our young adults, but I'm glad they are missing out on some that "socialization." I worked in a public school teaching GED prep to high risk students, I know what they could be learning.

Teens are more bonded with their peers than their parents not because of daycare but because the purpose of compulsory public schooling is to disassociate children from their parents. Based on Prussian style education: decrease individual critical thinking, increase compliance.

Your “daycare” comment is obtuse and out of touch. Cost of living dictates daycare in many cases. Read John Taylor Gatto and understand the roots of what causes childrens’ bonds with their parents to become diminished.

It’s much harder to do this with younger ones if they’re in day care. The little ones go to bed so early that really the only time you have is weekends. I can’t tell you how many times I heard from working friends that they hated they missed a first step or word cause of dc.
