He’s a stay-at-home Dad (or was for several years), so I think by “one parent” he means “one parent”.

I have been a stay at home dad for almost 10 years. Coincidentally, my daughter is almost 10.

That’s one reason why we homeschool. You made another comment about women/mothers being the stewards of future generations, and nothing could be more true. I’m blessed to have a wife who is willing to make some financial sacrifices so that we can raise up a promising generation
-
I have to work, so my husband stays home and homeschools. It's not ideal---but we have made it work.
-
I have the day shift agreed it's not ideal but I do enjoy the time I get with my son.
-
I think the time has helped my boys really bond with their Dad too.

Hard to argue against common sense. It’s tougher for the state/politicians to indoctrinate our children if both parents aren’t off the grid getting our faces kicked in all day by work and the commute in and out of it. One of us has to be hands on 24/7.

......giving up designer clothes, the most expensive phone, the showiest car, is worth it to create a better generation of children.

When my kids were babies it was hard. But now that they are all teens I'm so thankful I was home for them. Would not trade it for the world. Thankful for a husband who worked crazy long hours so I could be home

Stefan you should check out compressed earth brick homes. Its the best overall method to build a home for any place in the world. We need to encourage entrepreneurs to start utilizing these styled homes to help us get off the grid. More people need to know about it.

What about wet, humid rainy climates...I shoot compacted soil with a hose and watch it fall apart

A little bit of lime or cement will make it water proof. Check out opensourceecology for plans and blueprints to make your own machine. Also check out earth block international on youtube.

We work jobs, to live in houses most of us never pay off. To raise an imaginary number to enable us to borrow money most of us cannot pay back. Which allows us to pay for a car that takes us to the jobs. Somehow this is more important than b days, holidays, births, and memories.

This is one of the few cases where I understand “less is more”
-
Isn’t it more is more? The ROI on this is astronomical.
@StefanMolyneux ‘s recent doc on Poland, thinking aloud on train, connected the dots...state profits by destr’n of family, by atomizing to ind’ls w/o fam or comm’y; dep’t on the state for their subsistence pov’y welfare

They're millions of single parents. Divorce and or fornication ruined that idea back in the sexual revolt of 60's. Sadly.
-
We are not doomed to repeat the past if we learn from it. Many families have these priorities and they make the choices that make it possible.
-
It's all good for those that can that have 2 parents in same home. My brotherb was a stay at home dad, wife was a nurse. He was master mechanic with commerical garage. Still a lot of single parents out there. I was one, not by choice. Worked 70 hrs a week & homeschooled.
-
I was raised by a single parent. I wasn't dissing single parents. And I know other single parents who manage to homeschool. Good for you.
