I grew up in a small apartment. your children need you, not square footage.

#fail My two daughters are both in daycare and it’s fantastic for them. -
They prefer being away from you?

All the people who’s best friends were their parents growing up seem to think Mr Molyneux owned you.

You mean all of those people who still can’t adjust to a room full of people? The people that need everyone to win a first-place trophy? The people that are in therapy at 11? Stefan, admittedly, grew up being abused. It’s sad, of course, but it also means he is jaded.

This is just a thinly veiled "women should not work". What do you mean "find a way"? There is no way to be at two places at the same time. If the mother stops working she will have no income and the impact on the child's well being will be far larger.
-
It's not a "veiled" anything. Men can't "have it all," and neither can women. If a woman wants to be a mother, that will necessarily limit her options in the workplace. Go bang your head against reality, see how far that gets you.

Especially if u want to actually be parenting and not just give birth and leave the rest to the goverment

What if putting our kids in day care a few times a week for the benefits of being around other kids, and learning to cope with an adult other than their parent is part of our parenting strategy? Money we’ll spent!
-
I'm a stay at home parent. I even homeschool Ffs. There's nothing wrong with daycare. Daycare staff are background checked, they're paid a Heck of a lot more than minimum wage, & in fact some places require you to have a degree/background in child development
-
Using a daycare isn't much different from having a friend watch your child so you can go out on that anniversary date to begin with

All those pieces of paper mean nothing in the face of the fact that they're _STRANGERS_. They're not family. They're not even family friends. Their incentives are not the same as ac trusted adult within one's existing social sphere.
-
And most cases of child sexual abuse happen with a close family friend or family member...but go on.

We took a 60% cut in family income when my son was born so he could have a full-time mom. Right call, despite the hardships.
-
Ditto. I only regret having not started sooner.
