Patriotism with a pinch of uninstitutionalised nationalism. Nothing wrong with it. Stefan and other nationals are safe in Poland unlike many poles in UK often experiencing xenophobic attacks. Church has only as much power as we let them have. They need us more than we need them.

I agree, but trust me there is no danger of too much nationalism whatsoever unlike the mainstream media portrays. Socialist are attacking Poland as hard as they can. Polish citizens are probably more law abiding and peaceful than citizens of most western countries.

Bits of nationalism there are are not rooted in the religion. All of polish patriotism and nationalism is rooted in the turbulent past. Myself as well as majority of my polish friends are not religious at all and somehow Poland's history and past mistakes unite us. We learned it

Thank you Stefan, it's good you came to Poland. It's a place where people can definitely see into the future and are not afraid. West has forgotten alredy what it means to be free and what it costs. Polish patriotism comes form people's hearts and not form the state.
