But because of the phenomena "regression towards the mean" and not 100 % heritability of IQ, tho high IQ parents will for a large likelyhood have a kid whose IQ is lower than their average IQ.

I think drinking and partying with street drugs and Rx for over 20 years seriously lowered my I.Q. I don't learn things as quickly, and I used to be able to figure most things out through straight logic. Not so much, these days.
