I disagree with your piece on patriotism vs nationalism. As patriotism is agnostic towards the state, af you surrender nationalism to the left you also surrender the state to the left.

Patriotism denotes a special attachment to a particular political community, although not necessary to its existing form of government. Nationalism stands for the fusion, actual or aspirational, between shared values and state sovereignty. No wonder Globalists hate Nationalism.
