Yup! If people in my real life knew how I actually feel I would lose both of my jobs. Depressing.
-
If people knew I had human body parts in my freezer I’d lose my job. why can’t society just accept me the way I am...

This is so very true. My darkest time mentally was as a freshman in college when my leftist professors were pushing an amoral relativist worldview that I innately rejected. It took me years to understand the source, but I’m so glad I struggled through it and found my true beliefs

Mental health both varies in its cause from person to person, and is best perceived from a multidisciplinary level. This tweet is unfounded, and offers no serious contribution to this complex area.
-
"best perceived from a multidisciplinary level" is jargon substituting for a real idea. If you subscribe to a theory, or have your own, let's hear it.
-
Like I alluded to in my original tweet, I subscribe to multiple perspectives (jargon?). Here’s one of mine. http://yianniszachariades.uk/wp/compulsive-behaviour-and-personality-punishment-instinct-and-a-symbiotic-axiomatic-substructure/ …

The transition from a religious world view to one that rejects God was accompanied by the adoption of an objective reality and a rejection of subjective reality. Post-modernists assume that truth itself is malleable and plastic.

Spot on. My “perceived” mental health issues of the past were just me being in a state cognitive dissonance with reality.

Brain states that manifest from genes (e.g., MAOA, DRD4) are adaptive (aggression) but taboo in modern liberal society. We are not insane. We are adapted to tribal milieu. It’s not philosophic per se, it’s genetic and cultural evolution at odds.

We live in such a way, that our bodies and our brains weren't designed for As long as we do this people will continue to lose their shit.

To quote Jiddu Krishnamurti: "It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a truly sick society"

It results in bad philosophy too. Mental illness is not purely philosophical because then youre in the same camp as Liang and some Po-mo's. Psychopathy is people without empathy, yet who also delight in cruelty because, it is said, they are fascinated by what they dont/cant feel.

This is such an awful take. Mental illness is a disease, not a philosophical disagreement
