That is untrue. The probability of you having a high IQ is greater, but the probability is not 100%.

"if you are doing well in life in complex intellectual matters, you know you have a very high IQ" is completely true. It doesn't mean that someone doing better necessarily has a higher IQ than you, there are many other factors. But the quoted statement is 100%.

No no no. The idea of IQ is to QUANTIFY yes QUANTIFY intelligence. That is to get away from ‘vague ideas and concepts like “doing well” and “complex intellectual matters”. The only way you can know your IQ is by being tested that’s why the concept is useless.

Do you actually know what the letters IQ stand for. It’s an attempt to quantify intelligence. “Doing well in life” is just some woolly non quantifiable abstract concept. What constitutes well being? what are “complex intellectual matters”. This is drivel, Cod-philosophy

When he says "doing well in life" he's referring to income, length of life etc. At least assume people that spent a lot of time on this thought (at least) 1 step ahead of your on-the-spot knee-jerk reaction to it.
