From 800 BC to 1950 AD, 97% of the world’s scientific advancements occurred in Europe and North America. 98% of the significant figures were male. No white males, no modern world. Fact. I’m grateful. Are you? End the hate. Aspire to admire, whatever the race.

No way this is true. The Arab world alone came up with algebra, geometry, and trigonometry around the 9th/10th c. And they laid the groundwork for chemistry, not to mention advancements in astronomy, medicine, biology, etc. Oh yeah and one more little thing: The Scientific Method

Arabs are typically credited with algebra. The word “algebra” is derived from ancient Arabic. No one knows the origins of geometry or trigonometry, though. It’s true that Arabs and Egyptians both used them, but the Greeks deserve credit for the formalization of logic and geometry

No one worth mentioning would deny the importance of these contributions. But, it’s also undeniable that the contributions to philosophy, mathematics, and science by Europeans obscenely dwarfs those of others. Whatever the reason, it’s true.

Also important to remember that a big part of the Arab world was under hellenization after Alexander the Great and Rome Empire. That is why there are roman buildings in Palmyra ( yes that ones ISIS destroyed ). Later replaced by Islamic culture.

also, around 1500 they focused on strenghthening their religion and worldview, instead of science. Western europe starts its tech and science advantage around this time.

This is a correct way to see invention. Without wood block (China), paper (China) and ink (China/India) there would be no printing press by Guttenberg. Scientific advancement is about standing on the shoulder of giants.

Americans invent logistical system on WW II, but it is the Japanese that utilize it more; kanban system that is the gold-standard on manufacturing today. That’s how innovation works: improving on previous invention and making it better.
