The actual battle of ideas between communism (or, on a deeper level, altruism) is MUCH more important than fighting some shadowy conspiracy of soviet agents.

I think McCarthyism was allowed to flourish..it strengthened the communist movement and exposed their enemies.

I have said the same thing......doesn't help when the entire system has now been infiltrated.....as planned.
