At 43, one of my realizations is that reading BOOKS/pursuit of LEARNING can be DANGEROUS because it often leads to a very LONELY life. Being ALONE because you go against the grain or what is popular. The tradeoff? Sweet, sweet, authentic LIBERATION of the "psyche" (mind + self).

As you know. Intelligence is HIGHLY correlated with happiness at a population level. Many people do exploit less intelligent people. That is why I support things like Sen. Warren s consumer financial protection bureau.

....I would think the more intelligent one is the less “happy” they would be as they’d always be frustrated with the sheer stupidity of the masses. Either that, or learn to compartmentalize everything to keep that frustration separate from other aspects of life.
