The Labor Govt in Australia did the same thing, by loosening border controls they encouraged thousands of people to risk their lives coming by boat. 100’s of men, women and children drowned as a direct result

If you repeatedly exposed your child to dangerous situations the state would 'separate' you from your child. If a citizen did 1/2 the garbage they do we'd be locked up quick. How can I become 'illegal?' and work 20 years without paying tax and pay a $1200 'fee'
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

#CPS illegally steals kids everyday for cash from the feds. Each child is worth over 100k in federal funds. More if they adopt them out. Parents are suffering. Please give their stories light.https://pjmedia.com/parenting/american-horror-story-american-parents-separated-from-children-by-abusive-government-agencies/ … -
Yes, Stefan, please. We need more people highlighting the injustices going on with the Child "Protection" System. Please help us.pic.twitter.com/xt40YqUXSa

Depends if the "dangerous border" is more or less 'dangerous' than the place they originated, surely? If your primary option is "stay 'home' and die," then pretty much anything else is a better option - even a "dangerous border" (especially if safety lies beyond)

Except these countries are not in turmoil to have a cause for asylum seeking, especially since proper procedure would be to escape to the next bordering country. These people are choosing the luxury to flee to the U.S.
-
And, if "no cause" is found during the asylum process, then it's not rocket science to see those applications rejected. Doesn't make it illegal to apply for it, though - which is the conflation many would have everybody make.
-
Records show many people who apply for "asylum" are doing so to gain entry into the U.S. to take advantage of the "good faith" court date issuing and tend to never show up. Those that do are sometimes rejected, because down south, it's not enough to equate "asylum seeking".
-
So I say cooperate with Mexico and have them wait for their court date down there.
-
I'd agree - let the courts determine the veracity of each application on individual merit. I'd disagree with the MO of generalising everybody as a 'bad hombre' intent on living in the US illegally, though. Innocent until proven guilty used to be a thing in the US.
-
Well I kind of am generalizing on the asylum argument because going back in the convo, they're not necessarily meeting the criteria on asylum seeking. Central America is not in deadly turmoil. This a choosing of their own luxury.
-
So far as I was aware, many of these people are from much farther South - as 'tracked' in Trump rally rhetoric from several moths ago...
