Our Liberal governments worked tirelessly to make Ontario uncompetitive and hostile to business

Unfortunately the Left is going to get angry at GM for accepting bailout money and subsidies and leaving anyways rather than getting mad at the real culprit: big government and feminism in video games. -Albert Fairfax II

If this is attempted satire you forgot the part where government has "bailed out" auto giants for decades with no guarantees that the plants will stay. There are several examples just in Ontario alone

Agreed. Not only did I have to pay for the car I did buy, I had to pay for the car I didn't buy.

Well, we now have our answer to the question someone must have asked before the bailout: “What could possibly go wrong?”

I'd love to argue with my support of protectionism, but GM really does need a better product to stay afloat. When foreign companies are doing it better with domestic plants, it's time to look in the mirror.

I'm not sure how much more Ontario can take.

GM took our bailout money and spent it on new factories in Mexico to undercut US and Canadian unionized plants to increase their leverage.

Repeal the CAFE rule and let the automakers produce cars that people want to buy.

Indeed, bailouts are not an acceptable method of fixing things under capitalism.

GM reminds me of British Leyland. It was the worlds 4th largest car company at one point. After dozens of bailouts and billions of pounds it collapsed, they built cars with square steering wheels. The only surviving bit of the business is Unipart. Very sad.

Yes then they shafted the bond holders which was unheard of but we got "cash for clunkers" so everyone could trade in their old used car for one with a chip in it. Maybe do a Michael Hastings on you if necessary.

GM products have really gone downhill in the past ten years. This isn’t a shock. Bad products are bad for business.
