Our brain is our most expensive organ, using 20% of our total energy - the belief that it has been magically excluded from all evolutionary pressures between races is beyond delusional. 12 % of the DNA Differs Amongst Human Races and Populationshttps://news.softpedia.com/news/12-of-the-DNA-Differs-Amongst-Human-Races-and-Populations-40872.shtml …

Wasn't James Watson destroyed in the scientific community for his paper on this?

Watson was destroyed by the media for an offhand - and factual - comment on race and IQ. Watson’s cancer research was crippled. As a cancer survivor, that pisses me off no end. Screw the mafia media. Speak the truth.

This is a interesting topic to me, because it proves free will more then anything else. Yes environment matters but what the cream at the top that can see past the dictatorship they where given and responsibly moves. Welfare ruins this please true free market

I can see why people would think that. Biology could predispose you for certain outcomes but it doesn't just fall in your lap you have 2 decide to take advantage of your opportunity. Having a good or bad family doesn't determine what an individual can achieve

Humans need to get themselves out of the box that says biology is everything. It's not or everyone would be clones in the same conditions. Science limiting itself to empirical findings alone bars theoretical research, not good.

And were it the case that there was no variation in intelligence between individuals (and therefore inevitably between population groups), how could intelligence have evolved in the first place?

If one believes in survival of the fittest as the driver of evolution, then one must believe that population differences exist. If a population is isolated long enough genetic differentiation will inevitably result from the particular local conditions. Genetic diversity is good.
