I watched the conversation (not debate) and it appears to me, not as a ban, but a plea for thoughtfulness. Not blindly submitting to the tech companies, but advancing in a way that doesn’t crush large swaths of workers.

That’s not to say that we limit capitalism. But instead lets be honest. Tech is a massively subsidized industry. If they are crony capitalist being propped up by the tax dollars of American workers, don’t they owe it to the workers to approach these problems thoughtfully?

I watched this discussion and that's what it was, not a debate. Listening to them talk I could tell Tucker wasn't intending a hard ban so much as a "let's slow down and see how we can soften the impact" and "let's remember we rule technology not it us."
