That may be true, but only the free market works
-

-
The free market's goal isn't to help the underprivileged.
-
As a byproduct it functionally does just that
-
The free market runs by the law of the strongest. It does not make excuses if the weak is disadvantaged by that.
-
The free market operates by cooperation and agreement. Governments operate by coercion. It brooks no excuses.
-
I'm not an anarchist. I believe humans needs to fear for themselves to act well towards others. It's up to is to form a government that will lead us to that goal. Do what's good.
-
I went the entire day today without harming anyone else. It wasn't fear of punishment from a watchful government that caused that.
-
That's just not true.

Isn’t the problem that capitalism has worked so well but has passed its peak in the bell curve, as does everything
-
The problem is that the government has gotten involved, thus removing the “free” part of free market.
-
The problem is that people have to be involved which means any system is distorted and can never function as it does on paper

I agree that economic growth through free markets is by far the best way to reduce global poverty -- as would almost all Effective Altruists. Charity is just a stopgap to reduce suffering until prosperity takes hold everywhere.

Aren't more and more jobs that are being formed increasingly inaccessible cognitively to more of the population?

THE saddest thing about the left/right divide is that it is all being perfectly orchestrated to spread hate and division among us all and we are playing along, like the musicians on the sinking titanic, towards nothing but a deathly abyss.

True. And I’m starting to wonder at so much ramping up of division-posts that seem to want to stop the oppositional ideologues from having a civil discussion in order to meet on COMMON INTENT. Interesting...and very sad.
-
I wonder if the quickest was to destroy the division the Marxists have tried to to maintain is talk seriously about personal responsibility for the needy in our communities. Prove govt intervention is not needed.
-
...because as long as they maintain foothold and public acceptance, they’ll always be ahead of those of us gunning for free-market emancipation.
-
I hope to slowly combat that foothold. Pointing out all the good that volunteers and donations made by people to good ngo's to do good things I hope can help. But as taxes go up to pay for socialism, the less charity and more needy there is. Going to have to get creative.
-
It’s called free-market, honesty based commerce. Most ‘needy’ types in our current social construct have been penalised for being inventive...or casual ...or hard to tax.
