Nothing says libertarian like powerful government enforced borders

Immigration is a giant government program atm, borders reduce government

Realistically we need to stop welfare then we wouldn’t need a wall. A wall is a more realistic solution. There are currently too many that depend on the state for a democracy to end welfare. Sad but true.
-
How do you square this with the fact that immigrants are less likely to consumer welfare benefits than native born US, and when they do they consume a lower value of benefits. Clearly, most migrants are coming for work, not welfare.https://www.cato.org/publications/immigration-research-policy-brief/immigration-welfare-state-immigrant-native-use-rates …

The wall does not stop immigrants but illegal immigrants. By crossing the border they have already demonstrated disregard for the law. When did immigrants get mentioned? Welfare should be voluntarily funded but that won't happen.https://nypost.com/2018/03/10/cutting-welfare-to-illegal-aliens-would-pay-for-trumps-wall/ …

You’re comparing humans to animals. Dehumanising the other by analogy.

Or to Israel, where the wall quite effectively has stopped potential terror attacks from the PA areas.

And China, they seem pretty dedicated to the idea

Putting aside for a second the comparison of human beings to wild animals in captivity (which is hard to ignore) we literally do this every day by existing in a world with people of different backgrounds. Do you run screaming every time you cross paths with a brown person?
-
He undoubtedly does ;)

Wallitarians have got to be some of the worst analogy makers in the history of analogies.

Why is it so hard to understand the concept 'Good Fences make for good neighbors'? People should research how Mexico enforces their southern border.

I went to Ix Caret once, and they did have an open zoo... you could look over the hedges and see the animals, and they were right in front of you, but if you looked over the hedges, there were these incredibly deep trenches.... I know I'm brilliant.
@MikeEPeinovich -
The trenches formed a wall. It wasn't going down into the trench that stops the animal, it's the inability to scale the wall of it back up the other side. From the bottom both sides are a wall.
