Name one regulation that “enriches society,” and explain how deregulation is the antithesis. I think you’ll find your pattern is a logical fallacy, not Stefan’s.

How about regulating pollution? Imagine no regulation? Understand this point? No you can expand past, 'name one' and think about what can be done now. Like maybe regulating corps out of politics.

Regulating pollution is a form of loss prevention, not enrichment. That requires value added. Regulations do not add value. You’ll find that nearly everyone debating politics wants corporations out of politics. Those “regulations” are not relevant in the capitalism argument.

preventing companies from dumping waste into rivers because it's cheap is good for society, stop splitting hairs. that's regulation and it adds value, not to the company, but to our existence.

“Is good for society” is not enriching it. Your pattern of capitalism suggests a transfer of tangible value between corporations and society based on regulation. Regulating waste is good but regulation that moves and affects markets is bad for everyone.

like regulation that stops banks from taking risky behaviors and doing commercial investing with private funds? That's bad? i don't think you're open enough, or even accepting of larger point since you're splitting hairs, to see that regulation can be good.

clintons had a lot to do with it as well. i was a bernie bro in the last campaign. But again, you're trying to swing to a point that doesn't matter. do you see how regulations can be good? or are you still on with the nonsense of 'all regulations are bad'.

You’re quoting something that was never said. Your inference that Republican regulation cutting benefits corporations to the detriment of society is not factually correct and neither is the fact that regulation adds value. I’m merely stating that your logic is flawed.

i disagree with you. unfettered capitalism would concentrate wealth and screw over the working class. Those are facts. we've seen it in the past. care to move on, or do you just want to continue to split hairs on enrich vs good and 'adds no value' vs. bad? frustrating.

Rich people generally work harder - “working class” is just NPC programming. Go start a successful business and get back to me, reality beckons.

We need to define "work." People are bringing up 60-hour work weeks & manual labor; the trenches. How do you think formerly poor people became rich? That seems to be closer to what Stef is driving at. "Get out of the victim zone (working class mentality) & do something bigger."

i.e. "Don't tear down the rich because they worked hard, learned to work smart, and it paid dividends. Pull yourself up instead." Of course, some poor people work hard and get nowhere, & some rich people are wealthy from the moment of conception. Does that really need to be said?

Yikes, I have friends/family who work 60+ hours a week doing manual labor or driving trucks and they make just enough to provide a roof over their head and food for their family Plenty of people work hard without achieving great wealth. Your argument is flawed.
