The government does not exist, it is people who build schools, roads and hospitals.

Unfortunately, most great inventions, including the digital computer and rocket science, accelerated during times of turmoil and war and because of a drive for domination. So the argument about "peace progress" is empirically false.
#Philosophy should not divorce from data. -
Are you saying that a lot of great consumer goods are produced during times of desperate war?
-
I don't think that is what I wrote. Do you mean "complex problems" are consumer goods?
-
Technological progress is overwhelmingly greater during peacetime.
-
A statement that cannot be proven for the simple reason that it is false. The writer may be confused with the perception that he is living in a time of peace.
-
Most of the areas of the world where technological innovation is happening are experiencing peace by any reasonable historical standard.
-
Peace you experience is because of threat of war. In this sense "peace" has a heterological meaning. Peace is the period historically when people prepared for war. In reality, there is no peace, it is only an illusion.

That I agree with. The market happens in a state of constant tension against would-be local thievery and would-be external plunderers (armies).

The only way to make the next generation stronger is to teach kids to say “I am not a victim!” at all schools not yet visited by Joe Biden.

There’s too much defeatism on the Left. We need to work towards seeing all people equally, not casting certain groups as evil and bigoted by default.
-
Agree. We all got more in common than not. We should be coming together and solving problems, not further dividing ourselves.
-
Yeah. I didn't support Identity Politics used by Republicans RE: Southern Strategy... I don't support the current Intersectionality push by Democrats... And I am simply done with people that point to the deepest fringes to cherry-pick their complaints about the Left or Right.
-
There will always be extremists unfortunately. And they seem to be louder than the rest of us. The vast majority of people that occupy the middle of the bell curve are very reasonable.
-
(deleted and adjusted wording) I love seeing Individualism represented on micro-macro-meta levels across our entire world. Nationalism over Globalism, etc. Ironically, "everybody is special" is the better approach. It's just not the Intersectionalist interpretation I speak of.

Morality is [subjective & relative] in my purview. Some of those you describe are so unprincipled as to appear to have lost the first point of Consent: knowing the difference between what helps & hurts them. The fundamental Yes/No prompt at, "Should I punch myself in the face?"
