Government needs to stay out of the healthcare industry. Healthcare is not a right given by the government. We have more unhealthy citizens today than ever before and why is that? Easy access to healthcare. Easy access to processed foods. Easy access to pharmaceutical drugs.

Allowing the gov to nationalize an industry that should be private creates more problems than solves them. People need to stop relying on the gov and rely on themselves. It's quite unfair that I have to pay taxes for other people's health issues which can be self inflicted.

As a free-market advocate, the government should protect customers’ freedom to purchase (and insurers’ freedom to offer) insurance plans mutually agreeable to both parties. It's not the role of the gov to mandate or push Americans into specific health insurance plans.
