This has me jaded. Please don't think the rest of NZ is like Auckland. It's like comparing middle America to California, the country is small, but outside of Auckland, and even the North island, NZ is very different

But also rest assured that people travelled from well outside of Auckland to demonstrate our opposition to hate speech. :)

God bless you for having the all the right opinions and a strong hauora to protect me from these dangerous words and ideas. Thankfully, due to your travels, I've managed to block my ears and sing loudly, so they can't hurt me anymore. Safe at last :)

That awkward moment when you try to argue that your heroes aren't fascists and you only get one favorite - from an account called "Fashlight". Whoops!
-
Is that, is that Alexander the Great in his avi? Because Big Al was bisexual from all accounts.

Alexander is a bit of a fascist icon among very ignorant people.

We’re actually just hostile to hate speech and especially from two Canadians who know very little about NZ culture and history and who only flew in so they could charge $99 for some “free” speech. You guys must be laughing all the way to the bank.

The right to human dignity and freedom from discrimination shouldn't be subservient to free speech where you encourage hatred of people on the basis that they're different.

Passing off lies as truth and fomenting trouble isn't free speech, it's incitement, and people are tired of it. There's no rational dialogue or discourse involved here - it is ranting and belief based, factually devoid, nonsense. Don't try to package a turd as a chocolate.

They just called called out publicly and shut out. Visit their social media platforms for their speech. It's free.
-
Exactly. Their free speech isn't being impinged upon, they are more than able to publicise their views. What they are unable to do however is to shout them from wherever they'd like.
-
Yep. They can scream from any street corner they want, but no venue in this country is required to give them a stage for their opinions.
