Eh, not really. The proverbial public square is essentially private now (communication is all mediated by youtube, google, facebook, twitter, etc). I can’t believe that in the wake of nonstop corporate censorship you still think that small government is the solution

Mean population size of current world states is 32 million - massively over-sized compared to historical norms. We could draw back a bit (15 million?) and still maintain the long-term trend to greater state size.

Yes but imperialist US army is no 1 Monster against freedom, it is only business, attack business creating chaos and war economy (that's famous fascism) and USA army is 90% too big with budget from tax payer's money and is biggest debt maker.
If only we had some sort of internet bill of rights that could keep minority viewpoints from being shuttered and have their livelihood taken away
