The average cashier at McDonald's would have to work for 895 years to make what the company's CEO makes in one year. That is insane. pic.twitter.com/Du9UX1JhRp

Seems reasonable, given the consequences for not making the right decisions could cause more than 895 people to lose their jobs.

The average cashier would make more if they weren't competing against 3rd world illegal labor. No supply and demand course at Karl Marx U?

How arbitrary. It'll take an Applebees worker 10 years to make the salary of a vice president at a bank. It will take 40 years for a garbage man to make the same salary as a CEO of a nonprofit. It will take 17 years for a janitor to make the same money as a grant writer. SO WHAT?

LOL Someone likes Carl Marx.... The point is the pay gap, jr. But I can tell from the joint in the mouth in your pic, that you wouldn’t REALLY understand the problem. Seems that the dumbest people not only have a lot of money, but they defend others with money as well.

I like Marx and yet I have money and am defending people with money? Do you realize how contradictory those 2 points are? Pointing out that there is a pay gap does not illustrate an injustice. A McDonald's cashier does not deserve the same level of pay as someone guiding a corp

Another fact: Employment in McDonald's or any other fast food establishment turning burgers at minimum wage should not be a career goal. It should be a temporary job for recently graduated high school students or college students.

Here’s another fact. Due to automation, A.I. robotics and other economic factors, many adults are forced to take thise jobs that would otherwise be entry level jobs.

1 $15/hr. employee to service machines that have displaced 100’s or 1000’s of humans. This is the future and a sane society would celebrate the lessening need for labor. Capitalism prevents that sanity.

I think socialism/communism would work in either 1)small agrarian communities, i.e. Amish or 2)small communities that are spread out similar to a bicycle wheel that use automation for the hazardous jobs and mundane jobs, of course both would require actual value of skills, barter

We can do much better than either. Economic systems evolve with technology advances. Time for a completely new paradigm. Meet the basics if all ppl while also providing max. freedom for the individual.

Possibly the only way to achieve "basics of all people" would be the shame of fractional banking to be abolished and the concept of barter changing from made up value to actual value, but who/what places the actual value (AV), and every individual has different meanings of AV.

There are 235,000 McDonalds employees. CEO makes 895 times the salary of the average worker By Bernie's own math, the CEO makes 00.38% of the total employee salaries. That's amazing.
