The Marxists say that religion is the opiate of the masses – modernity reveals that Marxism is the opiate of the anti-religious.

Religion-as-opiate in mid 19th c meant that religion was a palliative en masse, but it also (in this same paragraph) was a genuine cry of the oppressed. So. Then. Marxism, apparently, is a palliative en masse and genuine cry of the anti-religious...? Methinks you are confused.

OH hey, my brother says that and he's a Marxist. He also spends all his time playing video games and watching netflix while living off welfare.

Bill, Stefan can talk for hours straight with elegance. Your suggestion that he stuggled to come up with his turn of phrase is ridiculous.

Religion was created to control the masses, and look how well it works. Marxism has nothing to do with it.

When the nazis invaded Soviet Russia in '41 Stalin in a desperate move removed his ban on religion & churches and opened all the shuttered houses of worship ...they were overrun in 12 hrs

A new transvaluation of the transvaluation we just experienced, but instead of returning to the way it was before, the West keeps getting more complicated as it gets emptier. We need to find a universal set of values, somehow, in the wake of God, while in the grip of postmodernism
