Cheap way to gain votes. Most of the time both politicians and people forget this kind of announcements "al aire". IMHO. I don't think any mexican candidate will do anything related to immigration.

Unfortunately this socialist is the front runner for president of Mexico. Since last September there have been 113 political figures gunned down. Obrador has indicated he is in favor of amnesty for the drug cartels. Pray that he doesn't win.

. He is a populist. Not a socialist. The violence is a very big issue that involves goverment, industries and society. About the amnesty, not the first time. Althoug this is the first time someone express it openly.
