1) Even if they do, the minor is not left without a guardian or foster home. 2) asylum seekers are not criminals by UN definitions.

In America’s broken prison system they do, but its still inhumane. Folks like you only care about fear and hate though. Probably think prison should be more painful punishment than rehabilitation.

In the creepy usa, yes, in civil societies - no. Kids stay with moms till they r 3 years old in special mom-kids prison areas set up for children.
