The Irish were going abroad (chiefly England) for abortions anyway. 5000 or so a year. Was highly restricted before. Only threat to life of mother or threat of suicide for mother were accepted reasons. Now, law can be brought into line with most of western world.

If we had a referendum on attacking countries that we have no right to attack there wouldn’t be a refugee crisis. Maybe the native Americans should have a referendum if they want to keep the white colonisers in their country, same for Palestinianians.
