They have a tendency to change API access rules without publishing them, so this could be it. Happened before.

And yes, please put away your pitchforks :) This very well could be an unintentional side effect of Valve being Valve by pushing API changes without informing about them.

The did ban Steam Spy. Why they did so is open to interpretation and that's in my original tweet. Everything on Internet can and will be misinterpreted. Doesn't mean I have to keep my users in the dark about what's happening.

FWIW we still have access on our end (we dont do as much as you do with it though). So, not a blanket block.
