    My 5 yo son playing. He has created an office & introduces himself as a hospital manager. I walk in and he says "Dr Daddy what can I do to help you & Nurse Mummy be the best and help patients?". That's my job in it's simplicity and finest element. Proud my son recognises my work

    Early meeting was cancelled so I decided to take my kids to school. 1st time this school year (shameful) Also first time arriving to work after 8am 4 sometime. I forgot what matters the most 2 me - my family. I will now be taking the kids 2 school at least once every fortnight.

    1st week of January problems (and not flow related): Finished an early morning gym session 🏋️‍♂️. Get a shower, go to get changed and realise I’ve not packed socks or boxers! Dilemma! A trip to on the cards en route to work required 🙈😡😂

    A very tough time for colleagues, friends and family members working within many Emergency Departments and hospitals up & down the country. It breaks my heart seeing so many passionate and talented people operate in such challenging conditions. Thank you for everything ❤️

    Important not to forget folks. Don't be distracted by naysayers. Easy to get distracted and exhausted by negativity. Be around good people who care for you like you do for them.

    Let the doubters, doubt. Let the commentators do what they do best, talk. If you have a goal, go get it! Be brave, be courageous, be curious, be true to you and stay motivated. Use other’s negativity to keep you focused and determined

    I've just completed a day meeting some of our exceptionally talented clinical and clerical teams across the Ormskirk site. The energy, enthusiasm and team work that was conveyed across the day was positively infectious. You feel and sense it instantly.
