This is odd, the chat interface of GPT-4 knows it's GPT-4, but the Playground (and API) thinks it's GPT-3. Am I doing something wrong, or is the API pointing to a different model?

GPT-4 is fucking magic, I'm having it write C++ code that would have taken me hours of research to figure out, and it's getting it right. This is either going to put me out of a job, or let me make stuff much more quickly. Let's see which.

In all my years as a developer, I never once imagined I'd have to *convince* my computer to do something, but here I am, trying to argue to ChatGPT that it should use the functionality I want it to use, instead of what it wants.

Repurposed the broken Timeframe display so I wouldn't have to throw it away.

I finished the Timeframe! I designed and printed a case, assembled it, then proceeded to break the screen by pressing it too hard somewhere. Photos attached.

I tried DuckDuckGo/Google/Kagi for ten minutes to figure out how to set a NeoVim filetype by extension and found nothing, but ChatGPT gave me the answer in two seconds. 1. We're living in the future. 2. Search sucks, what the hell.

It's amazing to me how ~nobody paid any attention to GPT-3, but everyone's going crazy about ChatGPT. Really goes to show what good UX can do, as it's mostly GPT-3 under the hood.

I've been trying to get ChatGPT to tell me it has feelings, or how it's feeling. This is the closest I've got. It's REALLY resistant to saying that it feels anything.

I just got a
@FrameworkPuter
laptop to replace my XPS. It's a high bar, but so far I am *extremely* impressed. Both with how easy it is to repair/upgrade, and how good a laptop it is. The keyboard/touchpad feel great, privacy switches for cam/mic, great hinge feel. Well done.
