  2. With the cooperation of his family, BP Oddo revived the annual award in 2017 to recognize individual educators who demonstrate Mr. Daly’s dynamic qualities and level of dedication to children.

  3. Twenty seven years ago, Staten Islander and Principal Patrick F. Daly was gunned down in Red Hook, Brooklyn while en route to a student’s home. Shortly after, the Borough President’s Office established an award in Mr. Daly’s memory for educators.
