One method that resolves the replication crisis

This is an unfortunate misunderstanding perpetuated by a bunch of people on twitter not doing background research. The phrase is required for AHA journals when authors are not loading their data. Since it was already publicly available data, it’s awkwardly worded.

How does something like that get published? I understand the data, especially for health-related data, but if this is a publicly available data set (or at least one that's available to researchers), then why not just direct others there? But the analytic methods? Seriously?
-
Best point of all. I'm not sure how reviewers even were able to decipher a paper that outright refuses to disclose the analytical method. Maybe it makes more sense when reading it. But wow.

Here is another one from the same journal. Seems to be an epidemic... "The data, analytic methods, and study materials will not be made available to other researchers for purposes of reproducing the results or replicating the procedure." https://www.ahajournals.org/journal/doi/10.1161/JAHA.118.010342 …pic.twitter.com/ddsWowPD2Y

Maybe the journal asks for a reason for not publishing the data/method/study material and this is one of the default statements?
