I dont have the pin to start menu option in right click menu. Reinstalling doesnt help, what gives? Can't pin anything to start

Try deleting HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions registry key

That key stores shell extensions cache. Windows (very rarely) can go bonkers and ban some extensions.

If you delete it, shell extensions will be re-validated and your problem could be resolved.
