adding items to Win+X menu is apparently no longer possible in newer builds of Windows 11.

to clarify, it used to be possible to add items to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\WinX subfolders (even create new Groups therein), apply a hash to the .lnk, and wind up with the item magically on the Win+X menu.
apparently, for some reason, this suddenly no longer works.

Even Winaero's Win+X Editor (which uses hashlnk source code reportedly) no longer works.

Sorry guise I think all allowed shortcut hashes are hardcoded now. I think it is because they tried to fix Terminal shortcut so may times they fubar.
As an alternative, I have been adding my remote support stub launcher to the Desktop right-click menu instead. It's not much less convenient I guess
