Yeah I relate to this. Everytime I shared my cosplay pics in those groups or I got shared within them. I get a lot of hate especially when I cosplay as male characters. It hurts extra cause it came from other black people. I also saw others get hate so I left those groups.

The manga was super tame (they didn't show the sex scenes. It was all reviews of the characters' experiences). The anime was a full blown hentai. And yes Funi has dubbed and licensed a lot of ecchi anime, but there's a huge difference between ecchi and hentai.

I can see why Funimation decided to pull out from this series (no pun intended). Even a Japanese channel decided to no longer air Interspecies Reviewers.

I suggest everyone watch this video regarding Interspecies Reviewers. It's well put together with lots of research! Some stuff that a lot of people didn't know.

I want to thank the victims for coming forward. I know it was hard, but you guys did the right thing by speaking out. This might help other victims to come forward too. I also want to thank for seriously pushing this and using his platform to help the victims!

I'm also including Kai because he's a predator too! Kai did started out as a victim (Kai was 15/16 and Onion boi was 24/25 when they met), but then became a sick bastard too! Kai was the key to get these young victims and groomed them. He also needs to go to prison!

A reminder that Onision is: -A predator/groomer -A pedo -A terrible father -A manipulative/gaslighting bastard -A racist -A bodyshamer -Has insulted cosplayers -An incel He (& also Kai) needs to be deplatformed and go to prison!

ALL OF THISSSS! Like EVERYTHING!!!! I've had to leave a good amount of FB groups over the past 2 years, they're just super cishetero and hyper masculine, I just don't feel welcome there and when I do talk about issues like you mentioned, I feel so alone esp as a enby femme.

One of my pet peeves when shit goes down in such a spectacular way that it’s trending are the “what’s the tea” or “name names” comments in posts where ppl are venting. Like... if you wanna know so bad go look yourself, the post generally has enough context clues.

I like the original intent of the blerd movement. Just that these communities forgot it by bullying and belittling fellow black nerds. Myself and so many black nerds don't feel safe and welcomed in these communities. I hope people reading this understands and actually listen!

Also if you personally like calling yourself a blerd then that's fine and I don't want to stop anyone who wishes to do so! I'm just saying for ME personally that I stopped calling myself one, but will still call myself a black nerd.

of the stuff I've mentioned? If your immediate response is to jump in instead of listening to super marginalized black nerds when we speak up of our experiences and trying to understand then you're apart of the problem!

And please don't come in to discredit mine and every other super marginalized black nerds' experiences. Don't come in to "persuade" me or say "oh I'm a blerd and not like this". Instead of jumping in, do you actually treat all blerds respectfully? Are you secretly guilty

I'm super proud of being black and a nerd and always love my roots! I still call myself a black nerd, but I cant fucks with these communities unless if ALL black nerds are treated with respect and welcomed and not just the "ideal" ones.

You'll be treated like a 2nd class citizen in these spaces and it sucks because outside of the blerd communities and even in regular nerdy communities people treat black people as a whole poorly yet black nerds do the same shit to their fellow people.

They will say "oh I haven't seen this therefore you're lying" despite so much evidence. The blerd communities need to do better when it comes to treating black nerds who are plus sized, darker skinned, non-men, LGBTQ, disabled etc. (And especially those who are any of the combo).

And if you don't fit the "criteria" then you will be put down. You'll be treated as if you're stupid. If you cosplay then you're more likely to be ridiculed in these spaces. And if you speak up about your experiences then you're "making it up" or "it's all in your head". Or
