          晚上約 10 時，在銅鑼灣崇光百貨外，一名軍裝警員疑中刀倒地，地上留有血跡。有數人則被警員按在地上制服。懷疑施襲者，送往律敦治醫院，搶救無效，晚上11時20分死亡，死者年約50歲。 消息指，一名男子懷疑從後向警員刺了一刀，該男子其後用刀自插心口。現場警員一度拔槍戒備，但沒有開槍。
