  八九运动是中华民族争取自由反抗专制的伟大的民主运动。它是以青年学子为运动先锋和运动骨干的。但它不单纯为学生运动，而是有全民族诸多方面参加的全民运动。所以，不称＂八九＂学运，而称＂八九＂民运。没有全民族的参加，学生们不会坚持那么久，没有全民族的参加，就不会对中共的振撼力那么大。
