I'm keeping this handle going though, because Mastodon isn't a full replacement for Twitter. The huge user base here enables real-time reporting and information dissemination that doesn't exist yet there. So I've deleted ~15 years of tweets and will mostly be a lurker now.

Mastodon is like Twitter was (for me), from 2008 through about 2012. The people share all kinds of things I find interesting, the chronological timeline feels right, and I'm not being fed by an algorithm that influences me to spend more time than I want on the platform.
