The math in this post is terrible. It treats revolutions as independent events. I think you'd have to model this as a Markov process to have any hope of getting a correct answer.

I'm not convinced it's a wash. To the extent revolutions are driven by economics, coownership of private property in resultant states likely adds a strong suppressive factor. :)
