The twist here is that incels are too small a group to generate real crimes with any frequency! So you have to plan ahead: have some obsessive jackass collecting receipts for years, ready to be deployed when your hate-focus comes up on the news cycle.

Though eg the Pulse shooter had been married twice, Vegas shooter had a long-term girlfriend. I think there's correlation but not much causation -- common causes of both mass shooting and inceldom like mental defect.
